On Black Foodways and Afrofuturism (SFA, 2021)

I was recently featured on the Southern Foodway Alliance's Gravy podcast. The episode—"A Pea for the Past, A Pea for the Future—follows the story of the black-eyed pea, from the past to the future. In the episode, I talk about some of my family's food traditions, afrofuturism, and the relationship between the two.
