M.B. Mayfield Oral history Project (Daily Journal, 2021)

I currently serve as Director of the Mississippi Hill Country Oral History Collective, a community of university faculty, graduate students, and interested community partners. Our mission is record, preserve, and share the life histories of Black communities in the Hill Country region of Mississippi. Currently, we are working on three collections: "Black Families of Yalobusha County" (Water Valley, MS); "The M.B. Mayfield Project" (Ecru, MS); and "The Siggers High School Oral History Project" (Shannon, MS).

Recently, the M.B. Mayfield Project was covered in the local Daily Journal.
