Vol. 01
AN ARTIST YET
The M.B. Mayfield Oral History Collection
Eight interviews center on M. B. Mayfield, a self-taught artist from Ecru, Mississippi, whose paintings and sculptures—often made with improvised materials like mashed flowers and berries—captured vivid scenes of rural southern life and what he called his “memory scenes.”
